Guided by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, hosted by the China Artists Association, and co-organized by the Art Center of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, with support from the Fashion Design Art Committee of the China Artists Association, the Art Museum of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the China Fashion Designers Association, the China Artists Association "Youth Art Talent Program -Fashion 100" has unveiled its core achievements at CAFA Art Museum. This was the first time that the China Artists Association has incorporated fashion design into its key talent cultivation system. The project consistently adheres to the principles of "with academics first mindset, there should be independent thinking, and innovation leading development." It intends to discover and cultivate a group of leading Chinese fashion designers who possess aesthetic confidence, cultural soft power, and academic recognition.

"Fashion 100" has brought together young designers from 59 key universities and well-known design institutions across the country since the official launch of the project in April 2025. The 100 shortlisted designers, rigorously selected from 390 applications, underwent intensive centralized training and field research covering five major modules: national narrative, cultural roots, commercial logic, technological frontiers, and so on. A judging panel composed of academic leaders from renowned universities and senior industry experts conducted multiple rounds of strict evaluations of the works by participants. After comprehensive consideration of creativity, craftsmanship, design, and stage effects, the outstanding works were presented in a brilliant runway show to the public at CAFA Art Museum on March 22, 2026.

This event broke away from a single release by combining a runway show with an exhibition of selected works. The exhibits focused on exploring the origins of creation and inheritance of cultural genes, by deeply cultivating traditional Chinese aesthetics, while connecting with international frontiers, ingeniously intertwining Eastern connotations with avant-garde expression.

Relying on the unique architectural setting of CAFA Art Museum, the space for this show has been meticulously constructed as a multi-dimensional structure. A three-dimensional venue provided models with the extended route, unfolding a fashion show to engage in a fascinating dialogue with the surrounding exhibits. Spectators can follow this immersive trajectory, experience every detail of these clothes, fabric, and craftsmanship in an artfully staggered space.
