All the members at CAFA are accustomed to honoring our mentors as “misters”, and “senior misters” are the idols revered by all of us. Misters’ persuasive and sincere teachings have continuously introduced young students to the art world; generations of students insist on diligent pursuit by following misters’ instructions, which ensures that the misters never leave the classrooms. As time goes by, the younger generations of students gradually become misters, inheriting the glorious tradition and continuing the centennial academic lineage.

Senior misters, professors, cadres of CAFA, President Lin Mao, Deputy Party Secretary Wang Xiaolin, Vice President Lyu Pinjing, Deputy Secretary and Discipline Inspection Secretary Wu Qiang, as well as heads of relevant departments and faculties attended the event.
On October 28th, 2025, the opening ceremony of “The Spirit of Educators Never Stops: CAFA Teaching Heritage Exhibition II”, the 2025 Double Ninth Festival Blessings and the CAFA Briefing were held at CAFA Art Museum. Senior misters, professors, cadres and faculty members of the Central Academy of Fine Arts gathered at CAFA Art Museum and jointly celebrated the Double Ninth Festival.

“The Spirit of Educators Never Stops: CAFA Teaching Heritage Exhibition” as a new chapter of the “Esteemed Masters & New Era” exhibition series, embodies the commitment of misters to the academic lineage of the Central Academy of Fine Arts over a century, reflecting on their art education practices, inheriting educational ideals, and promoting the spirit of art education. The exhibition introduces the stories of mentor-student inheritance in the School of Chinese Painting, School of Calligraphy, Oil Painting Department, Printmaking Department, Sculpture Department, Mural Painting Department, and the Fundamental Department of School of Plastic Arts. From the inter-textual approach of “one mentor, one student”, the exhibition intends to outline a clear academic lineage and vivid mentor-student stories, thereby comprehensively presenting the spectacle of art education jointly created by “what misters have taught, are learned by generations of students”at CAFA.
