Kai Men – Wang Tiande’s Solo Exhibition was held at the exhibition hall of Building No.1, Today Art Museum from May 10 to May 26, 2014. The exhibition was an important annual exhibition for Today Art Museum focusing on contemporary experimental ink painting.

As a practitioner of contemporary ink, Wang Tiande has a solid accomplishment of traditional literati painting, but never sticking to formality, even though he is also pursuit of “spirit resonance”, his expressive way and artistic language has broken through the simple and traditional boundaries. Curator Chia Chi Jason Wang believed that, the exhibition did not only present the artist’s innovation to the form of contemporary ink, but also reveal that the abstract representation behind the synthetic images is the ultimate significance that the artist explored in the whole process of creation and exhibition.
